"Dream job professor?"

The current issue of the university magazine EINBLICK is all about self-realization, career and vocation.

The lecture hall is full. Everyone is diligently taking notes on what the professor is saying in her lecture. One student observes her very closely and asks herself the question that keeps coming back to her mind: Would that be something for me too - to be a professor? To teach, to research, to challenge myself again and again?

The current issue of the university magazine "EINBLICK" deals with precisely this topic. Between self-realization, profession and vocation, under the title "Dream job professor?" the magazine is dedicated to the remarkable contributions and achievements of women at our university and beyond.

With the overview "Your path to a vocation!", we explain all the steps to a HAW professorship to prospective professors at a glance. Readers can also look behind the scenes in the section "The HSZG in figures". In a portrait, former HSZG Chancellor Karin Hollstein looks back on her many years in office.

Current news from the university, research and teaching as well as our international activities round off the magazine. In addition to the new Chancellor, the newly appointed professors and deputy professors at the HSZG are also introduced.

Just read for yourself!

Whether stories about balancing studies, career and motherhood, portraits of qualified women at universities and in rural areas or conversations about self-realization in the lab and at the desk. EINBLICK" shines the spotlight on the immense potential and creativity of our female students, graduates, teaching staff, employees, scientists and professors. The issue was created on the initiative of the team of the female professors program at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. The program, which has been supported by the federal and state governments since 2007, aims to sustainably promote equality for women in the academic system.
