At the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz (HSZG), Department of Human Resources and Legal Affairs, a full-time position (40 hours/week) is available as part of a project funded by the federal and state governments entitled "Developing, promoting and utilizing potential - recruiting professorial staff through internal and external cooperation - ProKoop" at the earliest possible date as a

 

Recruitment project assistant (m/f/d)

to be filled on a temporary basis until 31.12.2026. The position is divisible.

The program to promote the recruitment and development of professorial staff at universities of applied sciences (FH-Personal) supports universities of applied sciences in the introduction and expansion of structurally effective instruments for the recruitment of academic excellence. These are developed in sub-projects with the active participation of the faculties of the UASG and brought together by the overarching project structure, taking into account the central strategic objectives of the UASG.

 

The main objective of the project is the development, implementation and evaluation of a concept to increase the attractiveness of the job profile "Professor at a University of Applied Sciences (HAW)". The focus here is on the long-term and sustainable strengthening and enhancement of the national and international visibility of the HSZG as an attractive employer and player in shaping upheavals and developments in society, science and politics - especially in the (Upper) Lusatia region.

 

The Recruitment position includes the following tasks in particular:

  • Developing a concept for establishing tools and methods for recruiting professorial staff with a particular focus on equal opportunities,
  • Researching and analyzing current developments regarding the job profile "UAS professor",
  • Profession and appointment - highlighting and specifying the special features and unique selling points of a professorship at the HSZG,
  • Advising the Human Resources and Legal Affairs Department on recruitment issues and coordinating the implementation of measures under the direction of the Human Resources and Legal Affairs Department,
  • Close coordination and cooperation with other HSZG stakeholders such as the University Development and Communication staff unit in the development, implementation and evaluation of an employer branding strategy for professorial staff as well as external networks, cooperation partners and, if necessary, in cooperation with other projects,
  • Collaboration in the development of a dual-career and talent pool and
  • Research, evaluation and co-design of target group-relevant career fairs and platforms.

 

The following knowledge and skills are required

 

  • University degree related to the above-mentioned area of responsibility,
  • Ability to work strategically, conceptually and interdisciplinarily as well as a cross-project perspective,
  • Diversity conviction and affinity for the topics of work-life balance, advancement of women and inclusion,
  • Confident handling of recruiting tools, electronic media, social media and relevant networks,
  • Presentation and moderation skills,
  • very good written and oral communication skills in German and a working knowledge of English.

 

In addition, the following are desirable

 

  • Several years of relevant professional experience in recruiting,
  • Experience in project work,
  • knowledge of university procedures and operations, career paths in science and the specifics of dealing with scientific excellence.

The remuneration for tariff employees is in EG 11 TV-L if the professional requirements are met. The 1st place of work is Zittau. A probationary period will be agreed.
