Lecturer in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the HSZG receives the Hochschuldidaktik-Zertifikatplus from Hochschuldidaktik Sachsen (HDS).
Teachers are also constantly learning. With the Hochschuldidaktik Sachen (HDS) certificate program, teachers expand their individual teaching skills in the areas of knowledge, professional values and the ability to act. The certificate programme focuses on increasing the level of professionalization of teaching activities and promoting a change of perspective among teachers - also known as the "Shift from Teaching to Learning". The certificate program consists of three modules that lead to a teaching-learning project ("Scholarship of Teaching and Learning") and are thus directly dedicated to the further development of one's own teaching. The Plus Certificate of Higher Education Didactics Saxony also recognizes the continuous commitment of lecturers to address didactic issues and to actively support the exchange between colleagues and the transfer of good teaching.
Once again, Hochschuldidaktik Sachsen (HDS) is also recognizing lecturers at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences for their commitment. At the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, a large number of employees in various areas are currently participating in the HDS certificate program. The faculty management supports and appreciates this commitment. This year's certificate recipients include Dr.-Ing. Sebastian Herrmann (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering), who worked on approaches to electronic learning process support in various modules of technical thermodynamics as part of the certificate program.
The successful completion of the various modules and the development of didactic approaches as well as the implementation of measures for the transfer of good teaching were actively flanked by university didactic support services at the location, e.g. through advice and support in the conception and implementation of teaching-learning formats. The D2C2 and Digital Higher Education projects (led by Prof. Keil, Vice-Rector for Education and International Affairs) as well as offers from the Center for e-Learning (Zfe) and the University Didactics Officer at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences deserve special mention here.
"In this context, special thanks go to Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Ronny Freudenreich, M.A. for his excellent support in university didactics issues and transfer support, as well as to the Centre for e-Learning (Zfe) at our university, whose employees have supported me for many years with their outstanding expertise, but also to the university didactics officer at our university for organizing valuable further training courses on site, which were very helpful for my skills development," says Dr.-Ing.
