ZIRKON team cycles and cooks together
This year's team-building event took the ZIRKON researchers on a bike ride from the LaNDER-Technikum on the Neißeradweg to St. Marienthal Monastery in Ostritz. There they proved that many cooks do NOT spoil the broth!
Four teams were formed by drawing lots - starter, main course, dessert, coffee & cake - so that every taste bud was catered for. The dishes remained a well-kept secret for all groups until the meeting in the IBZ kitchen. They peeled, chopped, stirred, cooked, baked, roasted and finally feasted in the shade of the Bible plant garden.
We started with a homemade Saxon potato soup, followed by an Indian curry. Nikhil brought a special recipe and spices - but we had to insist on the "mild - for Europeans" version, because even the "Indian - not spicy" version would have made most of our team burn. For dessert, you could cool off with ice cream, enjoy pancakes with all kinds of toppings or snack on vegetable flowers. The menu was rounded off with "fitness cake" with coffee lyser (= coffee as a catalyst; ©FP) as a culinary finale.
Between courses, guests could let off steam with table football, disc golf or cornehole. Krative could embellish their cooking apron with a motif.
In the evening, it was time to head home on 2 or 4 wheels in all 3 directions.
