Event tip: Wood, electricity, heat - rethinking practice

We will continue to develop combined heat and power generation so that it has a future as part of the energy transition.

In a workshop with 20 to 25 participants, a roadmap for the use of combined heat and power generation from wood in Germany and specifically in Lusatia will be developed under expert guidance across all specialist areas and experience boundaries. The participants will be supported by communication professionals to ensure that this succeeds.

An excerpt from the coalition agreement of the new German government:
"We will further develop and comprehensively modernize combined heat and power (CHP) so that it has a future as part of the energy transition. We will make combined heat and power generation less CO2-intensive and more flexible. We want to expand CHP plants and the district heating infrastructure and make them more efficient. "

So where is this complex technology heading now? Germany has a leading technical status worldwide. However, the technology is still too expensive for German conditions. Everything has to be right if biomass is to make an environmentally friendly contribution to the climate balance.

Ideas are needed to place not just a product, but an entire process chain on the market.

There will be representatives from companies, engineering, environmental science and other sectors, as well as current and potential future users.

Please register personally at biomass@hszg.de for the workshop - because wood can do more! - and make an active contribution to its positive development!
