Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences is advertising a total of six professorships for the Zittau and Görlitz campuses.
"We haven't had anything like this since the 1990s," says Rector Prof. Friedrich Albrecht. Six W2 professorships are currently being advertised simultaneously at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences: inorganic chemistry, curative education, communication psychology, management of service companies, production management and fluid mechanics. They are spread across five faculties, three each for the Zittau and Görlitz campuses. All of them are reappointments. This enables the university to guarantee continuity in its range of courses as well as in research and transfer to the region.
In particular, the four pillars of the university - engineering, natural sciences, social sciences and economics - as well as the research focus areas "Energy and Environment" and "Transformation Processes in Economy and Society" are to be strengthened. "In addition to their teaching and research duties, we also expect our new professors to actively contribute to the further development of their subject area and act as a driving force with new ideas in their future faculties," said the Rector. "They are also expected to contribute to the internationalization of the university and take on academic self-administration tasks."
