Out of the pandemic with the vaccine?

Medical law expert Prof. Hahn commented on the EU Commission President's plans for mandatory vaccination on ARTE-Journal.

Professor Hahn, who teaches health law at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and recently received his second doctorate from the Faculty of Medicine at TU Dresden, has been observing the development of the coronavirus pandemic from a legal perspective for two years now. In the past, he has also commented several times in the general media on legal issues relating to triage, the restriction of civil liberties and vaccination.  Most recently, for example, he was interviewed by the Sächsische Zeitung on the affixing of vaccination labels to unauthorized vaccines. The article can be accessed within the university network here.

On December 2, 2021, Prof. Hahn was interviewed in the German and French editions of ARTE Journal about the EU Commission President's plans to introduce a Europe-wide general vaccination obligation. He takes a critical view of this, but can at least imagine a vaccination requirement for medical staff. However, the competence for this currently lies with the EU member states.
