HSZG successful at "Young Scientist 2015"

1st place among students and 2nd place among doctoral students in Jelenia Gora

Student Benedikt Sauer from the Housing and Real Estate Management course and doctoral student Sebastian Herrmann from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering successfully represented the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences at the "Young Scientist 2015" conference.

Benedikt Sauer, supervised by Prof. Dr. rer. pol. Stefan Kofner, was particularly successful with his presentation on "Social housing in Bavaria: funding objectives, funding programs and target achievement", which particularly impressed the jury and took first place in the student category.

No less successful was Sebastian Herrmann, who spoke in the doctoral candidate category on his dissertation topic "Simultaneous viscosity and density measurements on gases in larger temperature and pressure ranges using a vibrating wire viscometer and a single-sink density measurement system", taking second place. Sebastian Herrmann is supervised by Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Hans-Joachim Kretzschmar.

It would be desirable if even more students in particular took advantage of this opportunity to present the results of their scientific work. The consistently successful participation of students and doctoral candidates from Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences to date shows the enormous potential of our university.
