All seats filled: The opportunity to gain exciting insights into the laboratories and production facilities of ATN Hölzel GmbH was not to be missed by many scientists from the HSZG and entrepreneurs from the region.
Together with the Zittau Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Dresden Chamber of Crafts, the HSZG has been offering the "Workshop Talks" series of events on the Zittau campus since 2014 - each spring and fall with a specific technology focus.
This year, the focus will be reversed for the first time. Visits to innovative companies in the region guarantee exciting insights into laboratories and production facilities. Framed by keynote speeches from industry and research, Wednesday, May 22, was the first time.
At ATN Hölzel in Oppach, complete solutions in special machine and plant construction are developed and manufactured from a single source. From concept development and electrical and mechanical design to robot programming, production and commissioning, the company is well positioned.
The Faculty of Economics and Industrial Engineering presented its project: "SCO-TTI - Science Cafe Oberlausitz - Technology - Transfer - Innovative". SCO-TTI is a project by HSZG, ULT AG and ATN Hölzel GmbH to create a center for digital education in Upper Lusatia.
On the one hand, it is about training employees in SMEs to use digital technologies in their own workplace, but also about the applications of these technologies, in particular smart glasses.
The topic of digitalization was also omnipresent during the tour of the production halls. Whether it was the virtualization of product acceptance or opening up to the next generation as an attractive employer in the region - there was plenty to talk about, even at the concluding snack.
