Citizens meet science: Speicherstadt Zittau

From salt storage to energy storage. An option for the future of the region?

We invite you to a lecture and discussion round at our university as part of "Citizens meet science".

Professors and scientists will give an overview of the topic

"Energy storage: variants, trends, opportunities for the region and impulses for our companies"

Planned lectures:

  • Latent heat storage or how heat becomes liquid (Prof. Jens Meinert, HSZG)
  • Thermal energy storage for sector coupling (Prof. Alexander Kratzsch, HSZG)
  • Flywheel energy storage - "old hat" or innovative solution? (Prof. Frank Worlitz, HSZG)
  • Battery storage from Saxony - can we do it? (Prof. Michael Stelter, Fraunhofer IKTS)
  • Storage in Lusatia - the view of the economic region (Andreas Otter-Mudrack, Wirtschaftsregion Lausitz GmbH)
