Business meets science

Begin 11. January 2024 - 18:00
End 11. January 2024 - 21:00
City Building IV, Large Lecture Hall 0.01—Plenary Session

For the 15th time, Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, the General Association of Entrepreneurs of Zittau and the Surrounding Area (e.V.), the Dresden Chamber of Crafts, and the Dresden Chamber of Industry and Commerce are hosting the “Business Meets Science” evening event at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.

The federal Skilled Workers Immigration Act facilitates the immigration of international skilled workers to meet long-term needs in sectors such as healthcare, STEM professions, and the skilled trades. The Free State of Saxony has developed an action plan to attract international skilled workers and labor. Universities in Saxony train these skilled workers to serve the Saxon labor market.

These developments open up new hiring prospects and economic opportunities for SMEs. At the same time, they face the challenge of acquiring the expertise and practical tools needed to successfully recruit, integrate, and shape the social environment for their international colleagues.

We are pleased to present a keynote speech as part of our event that focuses on the international aspects of recruitment, professional and social integration, and the long-term retention of international professionals.
