Workshop discussion at the HSZG

Now, AR applications such as “Pokémon Go” or quick room measurements using a cell phone have become part of everyday life for many people, and some bathroom designers and architects are already using VR to let their clients marvel at future living spaces in a virtual environment.

At our upcoming “Workshop Discussion” on

researchers will present the current state of the art and future possibilities. Prof. Sophia Keil from the Zittau-Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, Dr. Philipp Klimant from the Fraunhofer IWU in Chemnitz, and the company ULT AG from Kittlitz—as a industry partner—will discuss practical applications, supported visually by VR headsets.

As practical examples, the Löbau-based environmental and air technology company ULT AG will demonstrate a current application resulting from its collaboration with the university, and the Chamber of Crafts will provide virtual insights into the new education center currently under construction.

The event is primarily aimed at interested parties from the business and academic communities.
