"Just a few years ago, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) were still just a future game for an interested niche audience. In the meantime, AR applications such as "Pokémon Go" or quick room measurements with a cell phone have become part of everyday life for many and some bathroom designers and architects are already letting their customers marvel at future living environments in virtual space using VR.

researchers will present the current state of the art and future possibilities. Prof. Sophia Keil from the Zittau-Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, Dr. Philipp Klimant from the Fraunhofer IWU in Chemnitz and the company ULT AG from Kittlitz as a practical partner will discuss the possible applications in a practical way, also visually supported by VR glasses.
As practical examples, the Löbau-based environmental and air technology company ULT AG will show a current application from its collaboration with the university and the Chamber of Skilled Crafts will provide virtual insights into the new training center currently under construction.
The event is primarily aimed at interested parties from industry and science.
