Apprenticeship Day

Equal opportunities and diversity in studying and teaching - (not) an issue for the HSZG?

Begin 15. May 2024 - 14:30 Uhr
End 15. May 2024 - 17:00 Uhr

The Day of Teaching at the HSZG invites you to an inspiring exchange on equal opportunities and diversity in the educational landscape in the context of workshops, lectures, discussions and further training.

Universities should promote diversity. For Teaching Week, the focus will be on three aspects:

1.) The support of students with special needs. A barrier-free environment should be available for them that is accessible to all, regardless of individual challenges.

2) The promotion of intercultural competence in teaching. Teachers can create an inclusive learning environment by developing intercultural sensitivity.

3) The diversity of teaching materials. How to integrate different perspectives and backgrounds into the curriculum to reflect a wide range of voices and thus create a more inclusive learning environment will be discussed.

In addition to active exchange, successful practical examples will provide inspiration. Initiatives and projects will be presented that have already brought about positive changes in terms of equal opportunities and diversity at the HSCG and elsewhere.

Celebrate Teaching Day with us! This special day is a great opportunity to highlight and recognize the importance of good teaching. Teaching Day serves us above all as a platform for exchange between lecturers and students.
