End 16. April 2024 - 15:30 Uhr

The publishing house Wagner&Farkas presents The Textbook introduces!

Why a new textbook now?

The publisher Wagner & Farkas has designed the world's first comprehensive digital textbook that fully exploits the potential of the digital world. Everything the teacher and class need is included here: from copy templates to digital tasks, from sharing information and documents to individual learning paths with writing, speaking and listening, from exercises to performance tests. We deliberately work not only with silent texts, but also with a story told on film as the basis for the entire school year. There are also explanatory videos, grammar exercises in various formats and vocabulary trainers for individual learning paths.

Finally, no more confusing patchwork on different platforms for a disproportionate amount of money, but tailor-made solutions for every child and every teacher from a single source.

What does the publisher offer schools?

The textbook is to be tested and optimized in practice as a pilot project. Funding can be used for this if enough schools agree to participate. If desired, these schools will receive the textbook free of charge for five years, as well as close support and further training from the publisher.

The participating schools do not have to submit an application for funding, nor will their budget be affected. All bureaucratic formalities are handled by the publisher.

The publisher's digital presentation will demonstrate the basic features of the learning platform using the textbook The Textbook for English lessons in Year 5 as an example. After the short presentation, the developers of the textbook will be happy to answer questions so that you can make an informed decision as to whether you and your school would like to take part in the pilot project.

A word about the textbook's development team: active teachers who have an eye on what schoolchildren and teachers really need in everyday life are involved in the content and didactic-functional design. The Textbook is designed by teachers for teachers - and therefore also offers ease of use for those who are still at the beginning of their digital journey.

This makes The Textbook a model project that will spread from Saxony to the whole of Germany. It would be important and valuable if you could support this project!
