Since the publication of ChatGPT at the end of 2022, there has been increasing discussion about how the (emerging) collaboration between human and artificial intelligence will change intellectual and academic activities. Academic work is undergoing fundamental qualitative changes. Many facets of academic work, from topic identification and research to the creation and revision of academic texts, can already be supported by AI tools. The pressure on university teaching to adapt is correspondingly high.
