Speaker: Sebastian Reichmann, M.Sc.

Mr. Sebastian Reichmann completed his B.Sc. in Media Informatics in 2021 and his M.Sc. in Master of Science for Digital Media with a focus on Data Science and Security in 2023 at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. In his thesis, he worked on designing an AEAD (Authenticated Encryption Associated Data) scheme using TBCs (Tweakable Block Cipher) in a post-quantum secure way. Immediately afterwards, he started his PhD with a focus on post-quantum cryptography in the field of authenticated encryption. Since completing his master's degree, he has been working full-time as a security architect.

Content:

Recent years have been characterized by major advances in the field and development of quantum technologies. The lecture will focus on the effects of quantum algorithms on the cryptographic methods used as well as on the possibilities for security through new methods.
