Bitcoins, smartphones and the like - how will we pay in Germany in future?

Mr. Altmann's presentation is based on the payment behavior studies of the Deutsche Bundesbank. These have been empirically recording the use of payment instruments in Germany since 2008. In this context, Mr. Altmann will also discuss new payment instruments and new forms of payment, such as contactless payment or payment by smartphone. Mr. Altmann also addresses the discussion about the future of cash.
