on the guest lecture as part of the faculty colloquium

How will we pay in five years' time? An empirical study by the Deutsche Bundesbank already shows a clear change in payment behavior in Germany. In addition to cash and debit cards, new payment instruments and new forms of payment, such as contactless payment or payment by smartphone, are increasingly being used. What does the future of payment transactions and the future of cash look like?

On Friday, 24 May 2019, from 10.00 to 11.30 a.m., we will be hosting Mr. Markus Altmann from the Deutsche Bundesbank, Head Office Saxony and Thuringia, in House Z II, Room 209. He will be speaking on the subject of "Bitcoins, smartphones and co. - how will payment be made in Germany in the future?" and will of course be available to answer questions.

All interested parties are cordially invited.
