  • Admission requirements

    Admission to the consecutive Master's degree course in International Tourism Management requires the completion of at least three years of study (corresponding to at least 180 ECTS points) with a university degree qualifying for a profession.

    Applicants for the Master's program should also have the following professional and social qualifications:

    • special interest in the global tourism industry
    • English language skills at level "B" of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
    • Interest in different cultures and languages
    • Eagerness to communicate
    • Willingness to work internationally
    • Ability to work in a team
  • Contents and study objectives

    The consecutive Master's degree course in International Tourism Management provides the knowledge and skills required to qualify students for demanding management tasks in a globalized tourism industry environment (international tourism, business plans, mobility of the future, product management, sustainable corporate planning, controlling, international business law, production methods).

    It focuses on students' implementation and action skills and is geared towards the qualification requirements of managers in the international tourism industry (personnel management in an international context, intercultural competence, social media management, future workshop).

    The skills are mainly taught in the context of project work, workshops, student research, field work in the form of specialist excursions in Germany and abroad, whereby interdisciplinary approaches always play a role.

    Contacts abroad with a large number of European universities offer a wide choice for the semester abroad. They range from, for example, Wroclaw in Poland and Prague in the Czech Republic from our immediate neighboring countries to Lapperanta in Finland, Lille, Mulhouse and Nantes in France, Granada and Santander in Spain and Benevento in Italy.
