    • General or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences

  • Study objectives and content

    The aim of the Tourism degree course is to qualify you as a tourism and leisure manager. To this end, creativity in terms of approaches and methods is particularly important, so that a close relationship with economics as well as behavioral and social sciences is required. You will therefore combine subject-specific with generalized know-how and thus have the practical knowledge required for . Your personality training is also taken care of.

    The Bachelor's degree program teaches the necessary specialist and methodological skills through a wide range of modules such as general business administration, accounting, finance, management, marketing, business mathematics/statistics, IT, law, economics, tourism economics, special business administration for tourism companies, destination management, leisure and cultural studies, languages and research activities. 

    The fourth semester includes a compulsory work placement, which can be completed either in Switzerland or abroad, although you should aim for an internship abroad. In the fifth semester, you choose one specialization module each from the competence field of Management of the Tourism Industry and the competence field of Tourism Science.

    Language training includes English and a second foreign language - either Spanish, Italian or Polish.

     

    Studying in the border triangle allows for daily international experience as well as contact with international fellow students.
