At the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, the Center for Knowledge Transfer and Education (ZWB), which is affiliated with the Vice-Rectorate for Education and International Affairs, a project funded by the Innovation in Higher Education Foundation (Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre) has been launched. Research Associate (m/f/d) "Cooperative Learning Communities"

to be filled for a limited period until 31.08.2025.

The post holder has the following tasks in particular:

  • Establishing, coordinating and supporting a subject-specific "Professional Learning Community" of lecturers and students in the field of engineering across all universities,
  • Anchoring and evaluating digitally supported teaching, learning and examination scenarios ("Scholarship of Teaching and Learning") in various basic and applied fields of engineering and in the context of research ethics/open science,
  • Networking and cooperation with the participating universities and within the cooperation network,
  • Organization of regular events for inter-university subject-specific exchange,
  • Regular presentation of the project results in the cooperation network as well as scientific publications and public relations work on the project content,
  • Proactive implementation of the project progress at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences as part of the development and implementation of a targeted digitization strategy to promote the digital skills of students.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • Completed academic university degree in the field of engineering,
  • interest in teaching in the context of digital change and digital higher education as well as open science in research and teaching
  • strong social-communicative skills, independent working style, good English language skills and a confident handling of common text and data processing programs and digital media,
  • Willingness to familiarize yourself with university and media didactic topics as well as content and learning management systems and to get involved and cooperate in a Saxony-wide team.

In addition, the following are desirable

  • Professional experience in the higher education sector,
  • Knowledge and experience in project management,
  • a working knowledge of English.

If the personal requirements are met, remuneration will be paid up to pay group 13 TV-L. The 1st place of work is Zittau.
