Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences is opening its doors for the upcoming Equal Opportunities and Diversity Week from May 13 to 17, 2024, to celebrate equal opportunities, diversity and excellent teaching. Highlights of the week include the Teaching Day on May 15 and a variety of events taking place in Görlitz.
Under the motto "Equal opportunities and diversity in studying and teaching - (not) an issue for the HSZG?", the series of events offers a platform to discuss innovative educational concepts and present successful practical examples that have brought about positive changes at the HSZG and beyond.
The week will open with a public working session with the Vice-Rector for Education and International Affairs, Professor Sophia Keil, on the topics of equal opportunities and internationalization. The program also includes interactive workshops, lecture series and discussion rounds in which lecturers, staff and students work together to develop innovative approaches for equal opportunity and diversity-sensitive teaching.
Another highlight of the week of events is the award ceremony for the Teaching Prize of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and the Saxon University Didactics Certificate Plus, which recognizes and promotes excellent teaching.
The Equal Opportunities Week and the Teaching Day are central meeting points for lecturers, students and all interested parties who are committed to shaping a more inclusive educational landscape.
