Strengthening intercultural resilience.

A joint cultural studies research volume by the HSZG and the University of Pécs in Hungary will be published at the end of the Saxony Guest Researcher Program.

Hungarian cultural policy expert Zsuzsa Koltai from the University of Pécs came to Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences at the invitation of the Faculty of Management and Cultural Sciences and on the initiative of Prof. Matthias Theodor Vogt as part of the Saxony Guest Researcher Program to clarify the question: How do we want to live together peacefully in the future?

The funding from the Free State of Bavaria made it possible to discuss this question with a large number of other experts from Germany, Poland, Austria, Georgia, Cameroon and Mongolia and, of course, the students at the university. On November 8, 2023, Zsuzsa Koltai and Matthias Theodor Vogt published the results of the research stay as a special volume of the academic journal of the University of Pécs: "Cross-cultural resilience building / Interkulturelle Resilienz stärken". The volume is available here.

The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences is pleased that this publication will continue the contacts with Hungary that are so important for Görlitz students and lecturers and that the topic of intercultural resilience, which is so important for the structural development of the region around Görlitz and Zittau, could be dealt with in greater depth.
