Rising energy prices are a major burden for students. The Federal Act on the Payment of a One-off Energy Price Lump Sum for Students (EPPSG) came into force on December 21, 2022.

This law provides for the one-off payment of 200 euros to enrolled students and enrolled doctoral students who had their permanent residence or habitual abode in the Federal Republic of Germany on the cut-off date of December 1, 2022.

Applications for the payment can be submitted from March 15, 2023 via the centrally provided internet portal www.einmalzahlung200.de.

What do I need to know about the flat-rate energy fee?

Here you can find out everything you need to do to receive the one-off payment at a glance!

What are the requirements?

I am entitled if I was enrolled on 01.12.2022 and my place of residence or permanent abode was in the Federal Republic of Germany on 01.12.2022.

How can I apply for the lump sum?

You can apply online from 15.03.2023 via www.einmalzahlung200.de. (You can also find all the details and important information on how to apply there).

What do I need to apply?

As an authorized person, you will receive your personal access data from the HSZG in eCampus (you will receive the access code directly on the start page of your eCampus portal (student cockpit) under the button "My authorization code for the 200 Euro one-off payment". Your PIN letter is available as a PDF document under the menu item Student Services >> Tab: Notifications/Certificates).

Note: As an alternative to the PIN, you can also use the eID or the Elster certificate. The access code is always required.

You will also need a BundID account and a digital proof of identification. The BundID account can be set up in advance at https://id.bund.de/de/registration/eID.

How does the application process work?

  1. Start with the application (access code and PIN).
  2. Prove your identity (with the BundID account).
  3. Enter your contact and account details in the form.
  4. Your application will be checked. You will then receive a positive decision by e-mail. The energy flat rate will then be transferred to the specified account.
Am I eligible for the one-off payment?

  • domiciled or habitually resident in Germany on December 1, 2022
  • Also eligible are doctoral students, already exmatriculated students, part-time students, Erasmus students, part-time students

ARE NOT ELIGIBLE:

  • Guest students

ATTENTION:

  • Each person may only submit one application, even if they receive two access codes due to enrollment at two universities.
