Web conference on the topic of instructional video creation on 23.04.2020 at 15:00.
Shifting teaching to the virtual space offers lecturers the opportunity to offer self-created videos, combined with other elements such as online exercises and self-tests, as asynchronous online teaching. In this way, teaching-learning offerings can be created that provide learners with easy access to module content that poses a particular challenge due to the technical infrastructure available on site or other problematic framework conditions.
On 23.04.2020 at 3 pm , a shortcut on the topic of teaching video creation will be offered as part of a web conference to which all interested lecturers are invited. Participants will receive an introduction to various scenarios and the didactic possibilities of video and audio contributions in teaching. Tools for video production on the home computer will be introduced and practical examples of successful teaching will be presented. The access data will be sent to lecturers by e-mail.
Videos can be embedded in a variety of didactic scenarios. There are now excellent examples in all faculties of the HSCG where videos are used to replace and supplement classroom teaching. Hardly any other multimedia format is as uncomplicated to produce and publish as the educational video. The range extends from screencasts, slide-based/PowerPoint videos, sketch videos, virtual scenarios (2D and 3D) to real videos.
To make it easier to start teaching with videos and to provide an overview of tools and methods, the staff involved have developed a comprehensive portfolio of tools, advice and guidelines and made them available on the website of the Center for eLearning (Zfe ). These offers are constantly checked for their usability in teaching and their data protection compliance and can therefore be seen as an alternative to classroom teaching.
