At the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz (HSZG), Department of Human Resources and Legal Affairs (DPR), a position (40 hours/week) is available at the earliest possible date as

 

Head of Human Resources Development (m/f/d)

- Reference: PE-DPR -

 

to be filled on a permanent basis. 

The management of the Human Resources Development department essentially comprises the following areas of responsibility:

  • Conceptual updating of HR development at HSZG, taking into account current developments and change processes,
  • proactive involvement in the implementation of the personnel development concept,
  • Initiation and implementation of projects for the digitalization of processes in the area of DPR (digital personnel file, application management system, etc.),
  • Advising and supporting those responsible and committees of the HSCG on methods and tools for personnel development at the HSCG for employees in the collective bargaining and civil servant sectors,
  • Advising the structural units and project managers on the establishment, evaluation and filling of positions in terms of pay scale and classification law,
  • Development, design, quality assurance and operational support for appointment procedures,
  • Participation in the implementation of personnel selection procedures,
  • Conceptual development of further education and training for staff, trainees and BA students,
  • Supporting the head of department in current issues relating to personnel management and development, assisting in the preparation and review of templates and documents for the university management,
  • project-related tasks in the context of evaluating and implementing methods and tools to promote academic careers at universities of applied sciences,
  • conceptual participation in the context of university health management.

 

The following knowledge and skills are required

 

  • Successfully completed university studies related to the above-mentioned area of responsibility,
  • several years of relevant professional experience in the field of human resources development,
  • sound legal knowledge and experience in the areas of labor, collective bargaining, classification, civil service and university law,
  • strong interpersonal skills, communication and argumentation skills,
  • a working knowledge of English.

 

In addition, the following are desirable

 

  • Knowledge and experience in the use of personnel management and applicant management software and other digital applications,
  • Practical professional experience in the operation of public administrations and teaching at academic institutions,
  • Experience in process and project management.

  • Competence and a serious demeanor in dealing with the various stakeholder groups (scientific and non-scientific staff, applicants, managers and external parties),

  • Interest in further professional and personal development,
  • the willingness to work at both locations and, if necessary, to undertake business trips.

If the personal requirements are met, remuneration will be paid in pay group 11 TV-L.  The 1st place of work is Zittau.
