"21st Century Skills - Learning what computers can't do?"

Teaching Day 2022 as part of a discussion process within the participatory university future design of the HSZG's "University for Future" process

Under the motto "Studium fundamentale and 21st Century Skills", this year's Teaching Day will take place on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 1 p.m. in the Audimax of Building Z IV.

Led by Professor Keil, Vice-Rector for Education and International Affairs, the event will kick off a university-wide discussion process aimed at answering the following questions: What key qualifications will our graduates need in the future? What educational opportunities do we need in the Studium fundamentale in the age of digitality? How can we help ensure that our students remain fit for the future in a VUCA world that is constantly and rapidly changing? "VUCA" refers to the volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity that are seen as characteristics of the modern world.

The event will be kicked off by external experts who will provide fundamental impulses, e.g. on the key qualifications required. Examples from teaching at other universities will be presented. Our students and professors at the HSZG will also be taking part with exciting presentations. In the concluding panel discussion, student representatives will talk to experts and university lecturers as well as the lecture hall audience.

All interested parties are cordially invited to this day!

The supporting program also includes a small foyer exhibition on the topic of "The Studium fundamentale in Saxony", which is provided by the Studium fundamentale Saxony working group. The foyer exhibition, which also shows selected nationwide examples of Studium fundamentale forms in a separate section, can be viewed from today until the end of the month during the opening hours of building Z IV.

The event will be streamed live with the support of the Center for E-Learning.
