We had a great and eventful day at the INSIDERTREFF training and study fair in Löbau on June 10, 2023.
ZIRKON was part of a strong team from the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences in the Hall of Research, Innovation and Science.
At our stand, interested visitors found a variety of interesting and colorful hands-on offers from a selection of our research projects.
Among other things: The air classifier
In the wind sifter, materials are separated according to their physical properties. For example, straw and weed seeds during grain harvesting. If this process can be successfully integrated into a harvesting machine, the weed seeds can be separated and no longer spread on the field. The use of pesticides can thus be reduced in the future.

And the young scientists were very colorful...
One way of separating plastics by type is to use density separation. Lego bricks were separated from colorful glitter in a colorful column consisting of a layer of liquids of different densities.
It was an exciting day for everyone involved and we enjoyed presenting our research to a wide audience.
