As part of the 27th Federal Conference of Municipal Women's and Equal Opportunities Officers in Leipzig from May 14 to 16, 2023, Equal Opportunities Officer Fränzi Strassberger (Bautzen) and State Equal Opportunities Officer Manuela Dörnenburg (Brandenburg) organized the expert forum "Gender equality in structural change - a prospect for equality" with Julia Gabler
Shaping the coal phase-out and the associated structural change is a challenge for society as a whole with different effects on the genders. If structural change is to succeed, women must be involved. Since 2020, an alliance of municipal equal opportunities officers from Brandenburg and Saxony, together with representatives from research and civil society, has been campaigning for greater gender equality in structural change. Contents of the forum: a regional study and its course through the institutions, F wie Kraft - a civil society platform between research and administration, gender equality officers - structural change agents at several levels.
