Cooperation with neighboring countries to the east will be the focus of the 6th Conference on Biomass Energy Use.
Low consumption of fossil resources and a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions are the goals of modernizing the energy supply system. A reliable, needs-based supply of energy services is inconceivable without the inclusion of biomass. The variety of technical approaches for this is enormous. "Biomass to Power and Heat" focuses on the practical introduction and the scientific and economic support of decentralized supply approaches. These can only achieve high levels of efficiency through a high degree of heat utilization coupled with power generation.
Under the patronage of the Saxon State Minister for the Environment and Agriculture, Mr. Thomas Schmidt, the 6th conference on the energetic use of biomass will take place at the HSZG from 31 May to 1 June 2017 in House Z IV.
The aim is to offer experts from industry and science the opportunity to exchange experiences and to create a platform for them to present their experiences, findings and scientific work. In particular, the focus will be on the development of cooperation with neighboring countries to the east in this technological environment.
The four main topics of this year's symposium deal with:
Official partners of the conference are the DBFZ, the Biomass Energy Utilization funding programme, the Fördergesellschaft Erneuerbare Energien (FEE), the Dresden Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Dresden.
Further useful information about the conference as well as the program flyer and the registration form as a download can be found on the homepage: www.energetische-biomassenutzung.de/index.php?id=863.
The event is free of charge for students and employees of our university. However, registration is requested by May 19. We would be delighted to receive numerous registrations!
