You can now register for the basic module in higher education didactics in Saxony starting in March 2023.
The basic module (module 1 in the certificate program) of the Higher Education Didactics Saxony (HDS) offers you the opportunity to exchange ideas about teaching at universities with colleagues from different disciplines. You will develop the basics of university didactics, discuss them in relation to specific teaching-learning situations and link them with theoretical models from a wide range of disciplines.
By participating in the certificate program, teachers expand their individual teaching skills in the areas of knowledge, professional values and the ability to act. Overall, the certificate programme aims to increase the level of professionalization of teaching at Saxon universities and promote a change of perspective among teachers - a shift from teaching to learning.
The Higher Education Didactics Saxony program is aimed at teachers of different levels of experience, status groups and subject areas who want to deal with selected topics of higher education didactics in a structured way and/or simply want to make their commitment to teaching visible.
Here you will find the registration form and further information on the basic module.

"Teachers at Saxon universities are experts in their discipline and it is the task of Saxony's Higher Education Didactics (HDS) to train them to become teaching experts.
The aim of all HDS offers is to enable good teaching and successful learning at universities. This is done both in a demand-oriented manner on the basis of requests that are brought to us and by bringing nationwide and international trends in teaching development to the Saxon higher education landscape.
The HDS office sees itself as a competence center for university didactics and as a service facility for all Saxon universities."
