Employee for laboratory and teaching - Model construction laboratory (m/f/d) - Keyword: - Media -

The activities of the job holder (m/f/d) include the following tasks:

• the management of the model making workshop, in particular:
  • Preparation and implementation of courses in the field of model making with a focus on building construction,
  • Supervision/guidance of students during model construction work in the laboratory,
  • Instructing students in the safe use of machines and tools, supervising 3D printers, plotters, laser cutters,
  • Responsibility for order and safety in the laboratory, including care and maintenance of the laboratory and equipment,

• Conducting other courses, e.g.  in the basics of building theory, architectural history/building style, monument preservation and design,
• Collaboration in the academic self-administration and public relations work of the faculty
• Participation in student theses and research tasks
• Collaboration in the preparation and design of exhibitions/presentations and
• Photographic work including digital processing.

The following knowledge and skills are required

• Completed university degree with reference to the above-mentioned field of activity, e.g. architecture or engineering or comparable knowledge and experience or, if applicable, master craftsman with relevant reference to model making (e.g. master model maker),
• Specialist knowledge of drafting, design and model making,
• specialist knowledge for the safe operation of the required equipment technology,
• manual and experimental skills and practical professional experience,
• didactic and pedagogical skills.
