These technical aids have the potential to improve quality of life in old age by increasing safety in the home and making everyday life easier for senior citizens. They help to reduce social isolation and can provide cognitive support through reminder functions.
Interested parties can find out about technical assistance systems on site on October 15, 2024 and have the opportunity to get to know the technology and talk about it.
How will we live in old age? What aids are available to help us stay in our own homes for a long time despite possible physical or mental limitations and where is there a need for technical development?
These are all questions that are being researched in the AAL Lab. On the open lab day, you can gain an insight into our research and become part of it.
Together with our target group, we would like to look at the technologies from different perspectives and test them out with you in the spirit of co-creation. Constructive potential for improvement can then be passed on to the companies. By involving potential users, we support the participatory development of tools and systems.
The technology can also be tried out on site at the open lab day to assess whether it actually makes things easier in your own household. We would like to talk to you and find out your opinion on the advantages and disadvantages of using technology in old age.
