Due to the pandemic situation, the 1st course of the Saxon Film Academy will now not start until March 2022.
Due to the current pandemic situation and the measures of the resulting CORONA emergency ordinance of the Free State of Saxony, it is necessary to postpone the start of the course "Assistance Film Production" of the Saxon Film Academy planned for December 6, 2021.
Under the current circumstances, the start of the course cannot be successful and expedient at the planned time. The events planned for face-to-face teaching are not possible under the current regulations and it is hardly feasible and didactically not sensible to relocate the course as a digital course. Digital teaching contradicts the concept of the Film Academy, where personal contact with renowned lecturers from the film industry is an important aspect of teaching and, last but not least, has an importance that can hardly be underestimated for establishing helpful networks for the future professional world.
The atmospheric circumstances caused by the dramatic rise in incidences in Saxony are hardly conducive to focusing the energy, drive and enthusiasm of participants on virtual courses.
With the approval of the Saxon State Ministry of Science, Culture and Tourism, the start of the Saxon Film Academy's first "Film Production Assistance" course has now been postponed to Monday, March 21, 2022.
The application deadline for the few places still available on the course has now been extended to February 18, 2022.
Applications for the first course "Assistance Film Production" are now being accepteduntil February 18, 2022 .
An application should include a CV, application photo, contact address, certificates and a letter of motivation - why you want to train as a film production assistant.
The digital-only application with a coherent PDF document is submitted via the online application form.
