Student shines at STAR*PARADE

HSZG business administration student presents his innovative business idea and convinces the high-caliber jury.

The first STAR*PARADE pitch round in the "Students & Researchers" category took place on July 12, 2024. Students and researchers from Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG), Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) and Wildau University of Applied Sciences (TH Wildau) presented their innovative business ideas to a top-class jury and an interested audience at Celsiuz in Zittau.

Winning idea impresses with innovation and style

The STAR*PARADE final was held in Cottbus on September 19, 2024. Johann Paul, a student of Business Administration at the HSZG, won in the "Students & Researchers" category. His business idea - an innovative business model for luxury handbags with additional functional features - impressed the jury and was awarded prize money of 500 euros and a voucher for a consultation with a patent attorney as the best pitch in the "Students & Researchers" category. The idea was developed as part of the "Business Start-up" module in the summer semester of 2024, in which Johann impressively demonstrated his entrepreneurial skills.

I am grateful for the opportunities made possible by events such as the StarParade. In addition to networking, there are good opportunities for inspiration and motivation. I can therefore only recommend it.
