Dear students of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences,
The summer was long and hot - and suddenly fall is just around the corner! No more dangling your legs and chilling out on the lake. Hammocks and air mattresses have had their day. It's high time to get those summer-weary and well-rested bones going again. What better way to do this than with a lively evening of dancing in a festive atmosphere surrounded by the rhythmic sounds of live bands and culinary delights?
Just in time for the start of the new winter semester, the Public Relations Office, in cooperation with the Student Council of Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, is giving away a total of 5 x 2 tickets to this year's 13th Zittau Ball Night on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Zittau Town Hall.
The tickets worth EUR 53.00 each are financed by the StuRafor whose support we would like to thank you very much!
What do you have to do?
So that we can chase away the fall blues, send an email by October 21, 2018 to marketing(at)hszg.de with the subject "Zittauer Ballnacht 2018". The winners will then be drawn by Rector Friedrich Albrecht from all entries and notified accordingly*.
The requirements:
- As a competition participant, you must be enrolled at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences for the 2018/2019 winter semester. You are free to choose your accompanying person.
- Attendance in evening dress is mandatory!
We would like to point out that a sumptuous evening buffet is included in the admission ticket. However, drinks will have to be paid for separately. Dancing experience is not essential, but would be an advantage.
For the thirteenth time, the Zittau Town Hall will cast a spell over dance enthusiasts on November 3, 2018 and transform into a magnificent ballroom. From 20:00, the big band "Klangfarben e.V." will kick off the musical journey through the evening, accompanied by actors and actresses from the Gerhart-Hauptmann Theater ensemble. Students from the International University Institute Zittau will provide a varied program with various salsa dances and historical show dances by the dance group "Villanella" (CZ). Excerpts from the famous musical "Cabaret" - performed by the acting ensemble of the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater - round off the program.
Gourmets will get their money's worth with a rich buffet from the Engemann butcher's shop and can enjoy cocktails, coffee and other drinks in the lounge in the council chamber.
The Zittau Ball Night is jointly organized by the city of Zittau, the Zittau / Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, the International University Institute Zittau and the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater Zittau. The now well-established social event takes place every year in November.

For all interested parties who are excluded from this competition: Advance ticket sales for the ball have started and will take place at the Zittauer Gebirge Nature Park Tourism Center, Markt 1.
*The winners will be drawn by lot. Cash payment of the non-cash prize is not possible. The winners will be notified by e-mail. There is no entitlement to a prize. Legal recourse is excluded.
