Michaela Heidig has taken over from Dr. Ute Richter as acting head of the Language Center.

Michaela Heidig took over from Dr. Ute Richter as acting head of the Language Center on 01.09.2018. She acquired her qualification as a translator at the HSZG, in what was then Germany's first degree course for English/Polish translation.

Since 2007, she has been working as a freelance English trainer and translator for companies, educational institutions and research institutes, with her own employees since 2015, and brings extensive entrepreneurial and technical knowledge from this work. In 2015, Michaela Heidig returned to the university as a lecturer, worked as a translator in the "Blended Learning" project and teaches English to university staff in the "Diversity as a Strength 2" project.
