... is the motto on Sunday, September 23 in Görlitz. And Rector Prof. Dr. Albrecht will also be taking part.
As every year, a Sunday in September, currently September 23, will encourage people to give their beloved cars a rest. More and more cities are holding and organizing one or more days during the so-called "car-free period" as an input for what and how things can perhaps be more relaxed in terms of traffic, health and the environment.
In Görlitz, there will once again be an alternative Sunday bike tour. While last year's tour took us to places in and around our city to discover the habitats of certain birds, this year's route will take us past "young places". Young places are places created by or for young people, such as the "One for All" association at the Haus der Jugend, the park railroad, the university, the Wartburg youth center, Cafe HotSpot, Ca-Tee-Drale, Meeting Point, the Rabryka, Camaleon, Carife and the Jakobspassage.
The start with an intact bike will be at 2 p.m. between the train station and the district administration office. Sunday coffee and cake will be provided by the Caritas staff at the "Junges Wohnen" (young living quarters) in Blumenstraße 36/37, where the unaccompanied young migrants live and are looked after.
The route is about 10 km long and takes 1 ½ hours.
It would be great if someone from your association/your institution could take part in the bike ride.
I will be happy to answer any further questions you may have.

Rector Prof. Dr. Friedrich Albrecht is also taking part!
